The Damascus Road Foundation announces the appointment of its new Executive Director.
After much prayer and an extensive search, The Damascus Road Foundation (DRF) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Leanne Ferris has been appointed as the Foundation’s first, full-time Executive Director, effective August 1, 2023.
We are pleased to be bringing on such a well-respected leader for this position. Leanne has faithfully served with Medical Ministry International for 20 years, most recently as Executive Director since 2015. She has extensive experience in organizational management, strategic planning, and partnership development – all of which will be of great service to the Foundation and our many partners. Most importantly, Leanne is a faithful follower of Jesus, passionate about evangelism and global missions, and committed to seeing the Gospel go to the least-reached.
Leanne writes, “I am grateful for this opportunity to join The Damascus Road Foundation and lead it in its next season of growth. I look forward to continuing the important work of discerning God’s leading for DRF and building strategic and collaborative partnerships with the many people and organizations who share our vision.”
Brent Fearon, DRF’s current Executive Director, will continue to work with Leanne and support the Foundation’s executive leadership transition. He shares, “I could not be more pleased with Leanne’s appointment as DRF’s next Executive Director. It became very apparent during our search process that God has been equipping Leanne over the course of many years to take on this important, Kingdom role.”
On behalf of the Board, I wish to extend our welcome to Leanne as we anticipate the Foundation’s ever-increasing impact under her leadership. We are also grateful to Brent and the Foundation Office Management Inc. team for their leadership in establishing the Foundation on a solid operational and missional trajectory from our formation in 2017, and for their continued service to the Foundation through this transition.
